Here is a wonderful Ulysse Nardin from 1966. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a steel anchor logo and faceted steel bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There is a small scuff at the edge of the dial at around 11:30 and a couple of minor marks around the 11 o’clock hour marker. The faceted baton hands are in very fine condition with some minor marks visible under magnification. At 3 o’clock, the cyclops window in the plexiglass crystal displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 20:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most prominent a small mark at 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case with a replacement crown and batman lugs is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean gold UN anchor medallion and a few marks of wear.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Ulysse Nardin’s high grade N11HB movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
