Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Seamaster 600 from 1961. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and steel chevron hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial which are not visible to the naked eye, making the dial seem to sparkle. The baton hands are in fine condition, with the original black contrast intact and a few marks of wear.
The stainless steel case with the original crown and subtle batman lugs is in fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved hippocampus engraving and light wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s wonderful 600 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Seamaster 600 was named for its 600-series movement, being manual wind rather than automatic as most others. The timeless design and wonderful overall condition makes this a very versatile watch to wear and own.
