Here is a wonderful, all original Omega dress watch from 1961. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a warm and unique patina and looks fabulous. It has a steel Omega logo and faceted steel bar hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial and a few marks around the center of the dial. The baton hands are in fine condition, with slight corrosion visible and the original lume intact albeit degraded.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 1 and 10 o’clock. The large for the era stainless steel case is in fine condition, with the original crown and heavy, faceted lugs. It shows some overall wear at both the lugs and the case sides, slightly more on the left half. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a radial pattern and an engraving showing the watch was originally a gift of love. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s fantastic 285 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in January 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This what proudly shows its history and has that lovely patina many vintage watch lovers treasure. This is a watch you will love to wear and admire on your wrist and it’s a great conversation starter.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
