Here is an absolutely stunning, all original Omega dress watch from 1955. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a golden Omega logo and barely any marks. It has golden Arabic numerals at the poles and sharp golden wedges in between. The golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition.
The gold plated bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, most pronounced at the top and bottom and also at around 2 o’clock. The large for the era gold plated case with the original crown and gorgeous crab lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear and more pronounced wear at the inside of the lugs. The gold plated case back is in very fine condition, with just a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s fantastic 283 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
