Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation from 1969 in a rare gold capped version. The brushed champagne dial is in excellent condition, with a golden Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star and barely any marks. It has golden stepped hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at 12 o’clock. The golden baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original black contrast and lume intact. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Setting the date should always be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The solid 14k yellow gold bezel has a subtle sunburst pattern and shows light overall wear, perhaps most notable a nick at around 1 o’clock. The gold capped case with straight lugs and the original crown is in very fine condition with light overall wear, most notable on the outside of the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean gold Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with just a few minor marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original gold plated Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s perhaps best movement ever, the 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Constellations are wonderful and timeless watches and this watch really stands out on the wrist with its rare gold capped case and great condition. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and can be worn for most occasions.
