Here is a stunning, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1967 in a large size for the era. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition with a golden Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star and barely any marks. It has faceted golden bar hour markers with black onyx inlay, double markers at 12 o’clock. The golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The solid 14K yellow gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 4 and 12 o’clock. The gold capped case with sharply beveled angular lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly towards the lugs, but also on the sides of the case. The original crown is partially embedded in the case, making it a bit less convenient to wind by hand, but when the watch is worn regularly the automatic winding takes care of that. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved gold Geneva observatory medallion and a few scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original gold plated bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with some overall wear both on the individual links and the double fold clasp, as well as some stretching. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 564 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.  

The Constellation is one of the most iconic vintage watches, and this oversized version with the hidden crown is a much beloved version. This is a watch that looks fantastic on the wrist and it will make its next owner a happy person for many years to come.
