Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1961. The crosshair silver sunburst dial has a golden Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. At the poles are golden arrow tail shaped hour markers with black onyx inlay and in between are golden bar hour markers, also with black onyx inlay. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion bubbles on the dial, much less visible to the naked eye than in up close photos. The golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
The solid 14k yellow gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, such as at around 4, 8 and 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy gold capped teardrop lugs is in fine condition with a few overall marks, mostly at the lugs but also a small scuff on the case at around 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a slightly worn gold Geneva observatory medallion and a scatter of small scratches and marks.
The watch comes on after market leather strap of good quality with the original gold plated Omega buckle in fine condition.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
Constellations are fabulous and collectible watches by themselves, and the fabulous dial and overall condition of this one makes it a true joy to wear and admire on your wrist. This is a watch that will add to any vintage collection and regular rotation schedule.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
