Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1970. The brushed silver dial has taken on a gentle and even patina and is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with central lume stripes, double markers at 12 o’clock. There are a few corrosion bubbles around the dial, most notably around the 1-2 o’clock markers. The dauphine hands are in fair condition with the original lume intact, showing some visible wear. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock diplays the date, which can be semi-quick set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 12 and 7 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and the characteristic dog leg lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs but also with a few marks on each case side. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in fine condition.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 564 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Constellation is one of the most iconic watch series ever made, with many variations that still share a common design language. The lovely patina on the dial and the fine overall condition of this watch makes it easy to love and a joy to wear.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
