Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1969. The brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has wide steel hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at 12 o’clock. There is some wear around the edge of the dial, perhaps most notable at around 4-6 o’clock. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume and black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the weekday in English and the date. The date can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Quick-setting the date should only be done with the hour hand at the lower half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel has a subtle sunburst pattern and is in fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread lugs is in fine condition, with polished facets and brushed sides. It shows some overall wear, most prominent at the left side lugs and on the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved Geneva observatory medallion and some scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 751, beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
