Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer Pie Pan from 1963. The silver sunburst Pie Pan dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem. At the poles it has arrow tail hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, and in between are faceted steel bar hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial which are not really visible to the naked eye. The dauphine hands with the original lume are in fine condition with some corrosion visible under closer scrutiny. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 3 and 6 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and the characteristic dog leg lugs is in fine condition with a few marks, mostly at the lugs and on the right case side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a crisp Geneva observatory medallion and some wear.
The watch comes on the original steel bead of rice bracelet. The bracelet is in fine visual condition with a few marks and some stretching. There are also some marks and wear on the double fold clasp. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details fits your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
