Here is a fabulous Jaeger-LeCoultre dress watch in solid silver from 1970. The textured blue dial is in fine condition, with a steel JLC logo and steel strip hour markers. It shows a bit of wear with the grounding paint shining through, in particular in the upper right corner. The baton hands are in very fine condition. Note that this watch does not have a seconds hand in order to keep the profile very slim.
The 800 solid silver tank watch case with short lugs and a blue cabochon crown is in fine condition, with a finely engraved bezel and some overall wear. The 800 solid silver case back is in fine condition, with a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s caliber 818/3 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in January 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
