Here is an awesome, all original Ulysse Nardin Chronometer from the 1970’s. The brushed silver dial has taken on a gentle champagne patina and is in very fine condition, with the steel UN anchor and script logo. It has faceted steel block hour markers with black contrast, wider markers at the poles. The champagne chapter ring has painted stripes for the minutes. The steel baton hands has the original black contrast intact and shows slight wear under magnification. The window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The octagonal stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The chunky 70’s style square-ish stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent a couple of marks towards the lower left lug on the watch face. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean UN anchor medallion in its center and a few marks.

The original UN steel bracelet shows light stretching and overall wear, perhaps most pronounced on the double fold clasp with the UN logo. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Ulysse Nardin’s beautiful high grade N11KJ movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
