Here is a wonderful, all original Rolex Precision Oysterdate from 1965 in a medium size. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a slight and even patina and is in very fine condition with barely any marks. It has the Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and steel hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. There is a small mark of wear at the edge of the dial at around 6 o’clock and some of the hour markers show some wear under close scrutiny. The sword hands with the original lume are in fair condition with some visible wear and degradation to the lume. The cyclops eye in the original plexiglass crystal shows the manually set date at 3 o’clock.

The stainless steel bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, most notable at around 12, 1 and 2 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original screw down crown is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notably on the case sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with some overall wear.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Rolex’ high grade 1215 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
