Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Seamaster from 1968. The brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double marker at 12 o’clock. There is a mark just below the center of the dial. The baton hands have the original lume and black contrast and are in good condition showing some corrosion. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 5 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and batman lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable a small scratch at the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with crisp Hippocampus engraving inside a brushed center and some marks around the notches along the edge.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster came in a lot of variations, and this stylish version looks superb on the wrist with its timeless design. This watch is a great choice as daily driver and it will give you joy for many, many years to come.
