Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Semaster Cosmic from 1968. The silver sunburst dial is in near mint condition with barely any marks. It has a black script Omega logo and lettering and steel block hour markers with black contrast. The race track chapter ring has black stripes marking the hours and minutes. The steel baton hands with the original black contrast are in very fine condition. The date is displayed in the steel framed window at 3 o'clock and can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The cushion shaped stainless steel case with the original crown and thick beveled integrated lugs is in very fine condition. The sunburst face has some marks mostly on the right side at around 2 o’clock, and the polished case sides shows some overall wear. The brushed case back has a slightly worn hippocampus engraving and is in good condition, with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original Omega steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition for its age, showing some stretching and overall wear. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
