Here is a fantastic, all original Omega Seamaster from 1968. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The dauphine hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hour hand are at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel continues the sunburst pattern of the dial and is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most pronounced around 6 and 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and short, faceted lugs is in excellent condition with only very light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion at its center and just a few small marks.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
