Here is an awesome, all original Omega Seamaster Chronostop Driving from 1967. The charcoal dial is in fine condition, with a red Omega logo and white lettering. At 12 o’clock is a wedge shaped lume filled hour markers and in between are faceted steel hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. Along the rim is a white checkered flag style minute track with markings per 0.2 second for the stopwatch function. There are a few small marks around the dial, such as at the “A” in Omega and just below it. There are also a few marks on some of the hour markers. The white baton hands have the original lume and black roots and are in fine condition with slight discoloration. The seconds hand is painted orange and is in fine condition.

The stainless steel watch face has a sunburst pattern and is in excellent condition. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pusher and embedded lugs is in excellent condition, with sharp, polished bevels and very little visible wear. The stainless steel case back is in excellent condition, with brushed finish and a few marks of wear. The case has been refinished.

The stopwatch function is started, stopped and reset by successive presses on the pusher. It can record time up to 60 seconds. Many users like to keep the seconds hand running to show the seconds as in a standard watch.

The watch comes on the original Milanese steel bracelet in very fine condition with light overall wear. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist, as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm by moving the fastening clamp in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 865 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Chronostop is a piece of watch history and the Driving version with its 90 degree rotated dial to be easier to read when driving a car is perhaps the coolest one. This is a watch that can be worn for both formal and more casual occasions and it is great as part of a regular rotation schedule.
