Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Genève from 1972. The blue sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a white script Omega logo and emblem. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. Most of the lume dots have disintegrated and as is common degraded the immediate area around it. There is some wear along the top edge of the dial and there are a few tiny spots scattered around the dial. To the naked eye the dial looks very fine. The white baton hands are in fine condition with the original lume intact albeit degraded. The white framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled to set the hands, allowing more accurate time setting.
The stainless steel case with straight, elegant lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notable at the lower right lug. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and a sunburst pattern on the sloped rim. It shows some marks and scratches and carries the inscription “Waterproof”.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1012 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The wonderful blue dial and overall fine condition make this a watch that is easy to love. It sits very nicely on the wrist and it will serve you well for many years to come.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
