Here is a fabulous, all original IWC dress watch from 1970. The brushed silver dial is in excellent condition, with a steel IWC block logo and barely any marks. It has faceted steel bar hour markers, double at the poles. The sword hands are in very fine condition. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to time-setting mode, to facilitate more accurate time setting.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition, with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 8 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original fish crown and faceted heavy lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear both at the lugs and on the case sides. The case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed center and a polished rim with very few marks overall.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 854B movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
