Here is a spectacular, all original Zenith El Primero HW (Hand Wound) from 2003. The black dial is in very fine condition, with a script Zenith and El Primero HW logo and barely any marks of wear. It has large luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers. In the chapter ring is a white minute track and outside of it is a tachymetre track. The watch has three subdials: the 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock subdials show chronograph counting minutes and hours respectively while the 9 o’clock subdial shows the running seconds. The syringe hands are in very fine condition, the chronograph seconds hand has a red tip. At the typical Zenith position at 4:30 is the date window, where the quick-set date is displayed. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear such as at around 3 and 8 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and straight, heavy lugs is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The display case back is in very fine condition, with very light overall wear. The fabulous El Primero 420Z movement can be viewed in all its glory through the sapphire glass. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original Zenith bracelet is in very fine condition, tight and solid with little overall wear. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for these bracelets is very difficult.

Inside the watch, Zenith’s magnificent El Primero 420Z movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
