Here is a fabulous and rare, all original Wittnauer Professional Chronograph from 1968. The black dial is in very fine condition, with a white script logo and lettering and barely any marks. It has lume strip hour markers and two subdials. The 3 o’clock subdial is for the chronograph minute counter and the 9 o’clock subdial is for the running seconds. Along the edge of the dial is a tachymeter scale. The wide baton hands have the original lume intact and are in fine condition.

The wide stainless steel bezel with a red insert is in fine condition, with some overall wear and a large lume triangle at at the 0 mark. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and long, elegant lugs is in fine condition with light wear, mostly on the outside of the upper lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a brushed finish and some overall wear.

The watch comes on an after market rubber strap of good quality.

Inside the watch, the legendary Landeron caliber 248 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-15 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Wittnauer made some very fine watches in their time and this large diver chronograph is a great example. It is a wonderful piece of watch history and a great addition to a vintage collection.
