Here is a stunning and rare, all original Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date from 1972. The champagne slate dial is in excellent condition, with a golden Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and barely any marks. It has faceted golden hour markers with black contrast. The golden baton hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast intact. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to hand-setting position, allowing for accurate time setting.

The solid 14K yellow gold bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The gold capped case is in very fine condition, with a circular brushed face and polished sides. It shows a few marks of wear, most notable on the left case side. The original screw-down crown works as it should. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed center and a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original gold plated Rolex buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Rolex’ high grade 1570 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
