Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster De Ville from 1967. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem and an even and subtle patina. It has steel bar hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial which are not really visible to the naked eye. The baton hands with the original black contrast are in fine condition with a few marks visible under close scrutiny. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:30 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 4 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs but with a few minor marks on both case sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and a few nicks and scratches.
The original bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition, with some stretching and light overall wear. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 562 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
