Here is a fabulous and rare, all original Omega De Ville from 1967. The brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and black lettering and a gentle and even patina. At the poles are wide steel hour markers with black onyx inlay, in between are steel strip hour markers with black contrast. The baton hands with the original black contrast are in fine condition with some visible corrosion. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel case is in fine condition, with a radially brushed face and polished sides. There is light wear on the face towards the lugs and a few marks on the sides such as at 2 and 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and polished slant and a number of scratches. It carries the engraving “Waterproof”. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
