Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster from 1969. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There are a few scattered corrosion spots around the dial and some of the hour markers show some wear under magnification. The dauphine hands are in fine condition with the original black contrast and just a few small marks. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done when the hands are at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel continues the sunburst pattern of the dial and is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs is in very fine condition, with a few marks mostly at the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion at its center and a couple of noticeable scratches. The case has been restored.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster has been made in a lot of different versions, and this is a very classy and stylish one with the slightly darker than normal dial. It sits very nicely on the wrist and goes well with both formal and more casual wear. This is a watch you will love wearing and it will serve you well for years to come.
