Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster from 1969 in an oversized version. The silver sparkle dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel hour markers with the original black contrast, twin markers at 12 o’clock. The baton hands with the original black contrast intact are in very fine condition. The date is displayed in the steel framed window at 3 o'clock and can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.  

The stainless steel bezel/watch face is in fine condition, with a few marks both at the top and the bottom. The brushed stainless steel case with the original crown and curved batman lugs is in very fine condition with a few marks, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo and a few scratches and nicks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original stainless steel bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with light stretching and some overall wear, most notable at the double fold clasp. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The large size of this reference for the era combines with the wonderful dial to make this watch look fabulous on the wrist. This is a watch that will serve well as both a daily driver and as part of a regular rotation schedule.
