Here is a fabulous and rare, all original Omega Seamaster from 1963. The silver sunburst dial has a steel Omega logo faceted steel bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion marks around the dial, which isn’t really visible to the naked eye. The dauphine hands are in fine condition with some corrosion showing under closer scrutiny, in particular on the seconds hand.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 3 and 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear both on the sides and at the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion at its center and is in fine condition with some overall wear and scratches, mostly around the notches in the rim. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition, with some stretching and overall wear, in particular at the double fold clasp. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 552 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
