Here is a gorgeous and rare, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1962. The silver sunburst Pie Pan dial has a golden Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial which aren’t really visible to the naked eye but makes the dial seem to sparkle. It has golden bar hour markers with beautifully shaped golden arrow tail markers at the poles. The golden dauphine hands are in fine condition with light overall wear. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.

The solid 14K yellow gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear such as at around 2 and 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and the gold capped dog leg lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved gold Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with a few marks.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
