Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1971 originally made for the Japanese domestic market. The grey dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem and steel strip hour markers with black contrast, wider marker at 12 o’clock. The black baton hands are in very fine condition, the steel seconds hand showing a few small marks under magnification. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled to set the hands, allowing more accurate time setting.
The stainless steel case with the original crown and wonderfully curved lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 1001 beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This rare JDM Constellation looks spectacular on the wrist, with the fabulous dial and wonderfully shaped case. This is a perfect dress watch for those special occasions or for the office.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
