Here is a wonderful and very rare, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1969 in a large size for the era. The deep set silver slate dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and black lettering. It has wide steel hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. There are a few marks around the center of the dial and a couple of smaller marks around the dial. The baton hands with the original lume intact are in fine condition with some marks, mostly on the seconds hand. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial. When the crown is pulled all the way out, the hack stops the seconds hand for more accurate time setting.
The stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs has a brushed face and polished sides and is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean Constellation medallion at its center and is in very fine condition with light overall wear.
The original integrated stainless steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition with some stretching. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 1001 beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
