Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Genève from 1969. The blue sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a white Omega logo and lettering. It has rail road style steel hour markers with white contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, wider markers at the poles. Most of the lume dots have disintegrated and caused corrosion to the dial around them. This is much less visible to the naked eye than in the photos. The baton hour and minute hands with the original lume intact are in fine condition with some corrosion visible.
The stainless steel watch case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition with a brushed face and polished sides. It shows some wear on the face most notably at the upper right and bottom left lugs, and there are also some marks on both case sides. The stainless steel case back has a brushed center with the inscription “Waterproof” and a sunburst rim and is in fine condition with a few scratches and marks.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 601 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
