Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Genève from 1971. The brushed golden dial is in excellent condition, with a black script Omega logo and emblem and barely any marks. It has faceted golden hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double marker at 12 o’clock. The golden baton hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast and lume. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be quick-set by repeatedly pushing the crown in. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The gold plated case is in fine condition with some overall wear. There are some marks at in particular the bottom lugs at the face of the watch and some marks on both case sides, most prominently on the right case side above the crown. The stainless steel back is in fine condition, with some wear and marks.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1481 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Genève may have been the entry level for Omega, but this watch has certainly stood the test of time with its wonderful dial and overall condition. The timelessness and simplicity makes this watch a very versatile beauty to own and wear.
