Here is a wonderful, all original early 2^nd generation King Seiko from 1964. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a steel Seiko logo and the script KS logo below its center. It has faceted steel hour markers, with a machined double marker at 12 o’clock. There are a few small spots around the center of the dial and some marks at the edge of the dial at around 3, 10-11 and 12 o’clock. The faceted dauphine hands are in fine condition, with a few small marks at the seconds hand.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and chunky, faceted lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear both on the case sides and at the lugs, perhaps most notable at the outsides of the upper lugs. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved gold shield KS medallion and is in fine condition with a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 44A King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The 2^nd generation established the King Seiko as a very desirable watch with the “Grammar of Design” on proud display. This is a gem of a watch that will add to any collection while also being a wonderful watch to wear as part of a regular rotation schedule.
