Here is a fabulous, all original Eterna-matic Anatomic from 1970. The brushed blue dial is in very fine condition, with the steel Eterna ball bearing logo and white lettering. It has slanted steel block hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, the markers at the poles have double dots. There is a tiny mark just below the word “anatomic” and some wear around the edge of the dial at around 2 to 5 o’clock and also at 9 and 10 o’clock. As is often seen with old watches there is also some degradation around the lume dots. The wide baton hands have the original lume and are in fine condition, showing some wear. The original plexiglass with the ball bearing logo engraved is in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel/watch face is in fine condition, with a few marks and nicks throughout. The very large stainless steel case with embedded lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with a few marks, most pronounced on the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with some overall wear.
The original steel Eterna-matic bracelet is in fine condition, with slight stretching and wear. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details fits your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult.
Inside the watch, Eterna’s 1541 caliber, later renamed ETA 2824, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2022 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Anatomic got its name from the wrist-shaped underside of the case, making the watch very comfortable to wear even with its big size. This is a very cool watch to have on your wrist and it is a real conversation starter.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
