Here is a fabulous, all original Ulysse Nardin from 1968 in a very large size for the era. The brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel anchor logo and faceted steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double markers at the poles. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The tapered baton hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast. The cyclops eye in the original plexiglass crystal at 3 o’clock shows the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 20:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The very wide stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notably some pitting at around 7 o’clock. The large stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy batman lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a well preserved gold UN anchor medallion and some wear.

The original Ulysse Nardin bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with light overall wear, perhaps most prominent on the double fold clasp. It shows some stretching as is common with old bracelets. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Ulysse Nardin’s high grade N11HB movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
