Here is a wonderful, all original Tudor Prince Oysterdate from 1968. The brushed silver dial is in fine condition, with the rose Tudor logo and block steel hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at the poles. The dial has taken on a lovely patina, most concentrated around the edges, the center and the date window. There are a few marks around the center of the dial as well as a few small marks around the dial. The baton hands with the original lume are in good condition, with some wear and degradation to the lume. The cyclops eye at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.

The 18K white gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The stainless steel case with a brushed face and polished sides has the original screw down Rolex crown and is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The case back has the Oyster ridges and Rolex inscription and is in fine condition with a few scratches and nicks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Tudor’s ETA 2484 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
