Here is a fabulous, all original Tudor Prince Oysterdate from 1969 in a medium size. The silver parchment dial is in very fine condition, with a rose Tudor logo at 12 o’clock and barely any marks. It has steel railroad track hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, wider markers at the poles. The chapter ring has black stripes minute markings. There is a small mark at the edge of the dial at the 11 o’clock hour marker and slight wear along the rim at around 2 o’clock. The baton hands with the original lume are in fine condition, with slight wear visible under magnification. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out for time setting, to facilitate setting the time accurately. At 3 o’clock, the cyclops eye displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then backwards through 21:00 and then through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most noticeable around 3, 10 and 12 o’clock. The medium sized stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and polished sides and is in fine condition, with a few marks at both the lugs and the case sides. The screw-down crown with the Rolex logo screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and Rolex inscription, and is in fine condition with a few marks.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Tudor’s high grade 2484 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
