Here is a fabulous, all original Tudor Prince OysterDate from 1988 in a medium size. The white dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Tudor shield logo and barely any marks. It has a black painted chapter ring with lume dots and Roman numerals. The baton hands with the original lume are in very fine condition, with some degradation to the lume. At 3 o’clock, the Cyclops eye displays the quick-set date. When the crown is pulled out to set the time or date, the hack feature stops the seconds hand so the time can be set precisely. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The engine turned stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original screw down Rolex crown and elegant lugs is in fine condition, with a radially brushed face and polished sides with a few marks on both sides and at the lugs. The case back has the Oyster ridges and Rolex inscription, and is in very fine condition with just a few marks.

The original Oyster bracelet is in fine condition, with slight stretching and just a few scratches and marks. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Tudor’s version of the ETA 2824 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Roman numerals and beautiful bezel make this Prince Oysterdate more refined than most of its siblings. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and it will make its next owner very happy indeed.
