Here is a fabulous, all original Technos Sky Diver 200m from 1968. The black dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Technos logo and white lettering and barely any marks. It has large steel block hour markers at the poles lume with lume at the inner ends and smaller steel block hour markers in between with lume at the outer ends. In the chapter ring are red stripes for the minutes. The wide baton hands are in very fine condition with the original lume intact. The seconds hand has a lume filled rectangle at the end. The cyclops eye in the original plexiglass crystal at 3 o’clock shows the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 20:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The rotatable faded blue stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable around the number 40. The stainless case with the original crown and integrated lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent a couple of nicks at the lower right lug and at around 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved Technos anchor logo in the middle. The case does not appear to ever have been polished. Note that old diver’s watches are no longer suitable for diving!

The watch comes on an after market bovine leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, the AS 1903 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Sky Diver is perhaps Technos’ best known model, with its bold and rugged design providing reliably high performance. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and it’s a perfect daily driver.
