Here is a fabulous, all original Rolex Oysterdate Precision from 1966. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with the Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and barely any marks. It has steel railroad style hour markers at 6 and 9 o’clock and unusual diamond shaped steel hour markers in between, all with lume dots at the outer ends. The baton hands are in fine condition with light wear visible under magnification. At 3 o’clock, the cyclops eye displays the manually set date.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and polished sides and is in fine condition with some overall wear at both the lugs and the sides, perhaps most notable a scuff at the upper left lug and a nick at the lower right lug. The original Rolex crown screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and is in fine condition with a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished, which is very rare for a Rolex.

The original stainless steel Oyster bracelet is in fine visual condition with some stretching. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the double fold clasp.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 1225 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Manual winding Rolex’s are less common nowadays and this one is a real find with its lovely vintage condition and unpolished case. This is a perfect daily driver that will also add to any vintage collection.
