Here is a fabulous, all original Rolex Oysterdate Precision from 1971. The black dial has a golden Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and faceted golden hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. There are a few spots around the dial, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The baton hands with the original lume are in fine condition, with some corrosion visible under close scrutiny and some degradation to the lume. At 3 o’clock, the Cyclops eye displays the manually set date.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with a few marks, such as at 1, 6, 9 and 11 o’clock. The stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and polished sides and is in fine condition, with some marks at both the lugs and the sides, perhaps most pronounced at the upper lugs. The original Rolex crown screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and is in good condition with a few marks from misguided attempts at opening it.

The original Oyster bracelet is in fine condition, with some stretching and a few scratches and marks. It is large enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 1225 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Manual winding Rolex’s are less common nowadays and this one is a real find. It has that beautifully aged impression that vintage collectors love and it will add to any watch collection.
