Here is a fantastic, all original Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date from 1986. The golden dial is in very fine condition, with a golden Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and faceted golden hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. It has a tiny spot close to the 8 o’clock hour. The faceted golden baton hands with the original lume are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact. The hack feature stops the watch when the crown is pulled out so the time can be set accurately. The 3 o’clock window with the cyclops eye displays the quick-set date, which should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom of the dial.

The 18K yellow gold fluted bezel is in fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 12 o’clock. The 18K yellow gold case has a radially brushed face and polished sides, with the original gold screw-down crown working as it should. It is in very fine condition, with light overall wear, mostly at the case sides towards the lugs. The 18K yellow gold case back is in very fine condition, with a few marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Rolex buckle in very fine condition.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 3035 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
