Here is a fabulous, fully original Omega Speedmaster Professional Broad Arrow from the year 2000. The black dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and white lettering. It has three subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, respectively displaying the minute counter, the hour counter and running seconds. The dial has yellow lume stripe hour markers with white painted stripes between them for minutes and seconds divisions. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact.

The stainless steel tachymetre bezel is in fine condition with a few marks of wear such as at around the 60 and 100 markers. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and the beautiful bombe lugs that are a characteristic of the Speedmaster has a brushed face and sides, with polished bevels. It is in fine condition with light overall wear and a few more noticeable marks on the left case side. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo at its centre and only a few marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original bracelet is in very fine condition, with little stretching and light overall wear apart from some scratching around the links closest to the case. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s legendary 1861 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2054 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The “Moonwatch” is probably the most iconic watch ever made, chosen by NASA for the Apollo missions. When in this fabulous and unpolished condition, it is a true gem and a joy to wear, and a Speedmaster is a must for any vintage collection.
