Here is a stunning, all original Omega Seamaster pre-De Ville from 1961. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a unique caramel patina through a scatter of tiny corrosions spots and it looks fabulous. It has a steel Omega logo and emblem and faceted steel bar hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. The baton hands with the original black contrast are in fair condition with some visible corrosion.

The stainless steel bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, in particular around 2 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and straight lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notable at the bottom lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and the inscription “Waterproof”. It shows some overall wear and in particular some scuffs at the bottom. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with some stretching and overall wear, most pronounced at the double fold clasp. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 552 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
