Here is a fabulous and very rare, fully original Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 from 1973 in a very large size for the era. The black dial is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and rectangular lume hour markers, twin markers at 12 o’clock. Some wear can be seen at the rim of the dial, such as at around 12-2 and 5-7 o’clock. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact albeit somewhat degraded. The hack function stops the watch when the crown is pulled out into time-setting position, allowing for more accurate time-setting. The quick-set date is displayed in the 3 o’clock window. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 2 and 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs has a sunburst pattern on the face and brushed sides. It is in very fine condition, showing only light wear throughout. The brushed stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a slightly worn hippocampus engraving and a few marks of wear. The watch does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition and little stretching, showing just a few wear marks. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1012 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
