Here is a fabulous, fully original Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 from 1972 in a very large size for the era. The brushed silver dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and barely any marks. It has steel strip hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, a wider marker at 12 o’clock. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original black contrast and lume intact. The hack function stops the watch when the crown is pulled out into time-setting position, allowing for more accurate time-setting. The quick-set date is displayed in the 3 o’clock window. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 2 and 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs has a sunburst pattern on the face and brushed sides. It is in very fine condition, showing only light wear throughout. The brushed stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a slightly worn hippocampus engraving and a few marks of wear. The watch does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1012 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This is a fabulous watch to wear and own, with the very large size for the era and the overall great condition. It has a superbly timeless design and it is a watch that can serve well as a daily driver but will also rise nicely in value over the years.
