Here is a wonderful, all original Omega “Pre-Bond” Seamaster Chronometer from 1994. The black dial is in very fine condition, with a white script Omega logo and white lettering. It has a chapter ring with white stripes per minute and circular yellow lume hour markers inside this. The Mercedes hands have the original lume intact albeit somewhat degraded. The white framed window at 3 o’clock shows the quick-set date. This function should only be used with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.

The rotating stainless steel bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, in particular along the inner edge. The stainless steel case with the original crown and integrated lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at the upper right case side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo in its center and a few marks and scratches. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original integrated steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition showing a few marks and light stretching. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1111 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in July 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This was the last Seamaster model before the James Bond franchise adopted Omega watches in 1995, kicking off a new level of excitement around the brand. Given that the first Bond Omega was in fact a quartz watch, the Pre-Bond seems the better choice!
