Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster from 1958. The silver dial has taken on a gentle and even patina and looks amazing, with a steel Omega logo and black lettering. It has large Arabic numerals at the poles and “spaceship” wedged hour markers in between, all with lume dots at the outer ends. The crosshair subdial at 6 o’clock shows the small seconds hand. Under close scrutiny, faint “halos” can be seen around the hour markers and there are a few small marks around the dial. The sword hands are in good condition with the original lume intact albeit degraded.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 2 and 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case with heavy batman lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo and light overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. 

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 491 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster was first released in 1948 and this watch only ten years later. It is in great condition for its age and would add nicely to any vintage collection and regular rotation schedule.
