Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster from 1979 in an unusual reference. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and barely any marks. It has steel strip hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends except at the poles. Slight wear can be seen on some of the hour markers under close inspection. The black baton hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast and lume intact, albeit somewhat degraded. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set weekday and date. The weekday is quick-set by turning the hands backwards while the date is quick-set in the middle crown position. The date quick-set should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled to set the hands, allowing more accurate time setting.
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The brushed stainless steel case with the original crown and integrated lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly on the sides along the sharp edges but also with some marks towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion and is in very fine condition, with a brushed finish and a few marks of wear.
The original integrated bracelet is in very fine visual condition, showing little stretching and only light overall wear. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1020 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This is a different take on the Seamaster, with a bold case and integrated bracelet and it looks fabulous on the wrist. This is a watch that goes well with both formal and more casual wear and it will get you a lot of compliments.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
