Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Seamaster from 1961 in a very rare reference. The silver radially brushed is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem. It has a scatter of tiny corrosion spots, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. At the poles are faceted bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock and in between are diamond cut steel hour markers. The dauphine hands are in good condition, with a few marks on the hour and minute hands and corrosion showing on the seconds hand.

The stainless steel bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notably at around 4 and 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 552 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
